Why support?

Tomatoes grow tall and carry heavy fruit. Without support the stems bend and the fruit lies on the ground (rot).

How to

  1. Set a stake, spiral rod or string early.
  2. Tie the main stem loosely with soft material (twine, clips) — do not constrict it.
  3. Re-tie every 20–30 cm as it grows.
